Featuring wines by Childress Vineyards and chocolate by Black Mountain Chocolate
February 7, 2019, 5:00 – 8:00 pm
Let’s gather in the elegance of the Reception Room to sip, socialize, and explore Victorian customs in this special Valentine’s Day edition of our adult education series. Play a parlor game, taste local wines, and sample chocolate delights while learning about courting in the Victorian age, including the Love Language of the Fan, the Hankie, and the Parasol.
Objects from the Körner’s Folly Collection will be on display, including Jule Körner’s original Valentine’s Day card to his lady love Polly Alice, as well as Doré’s wedding fan and portrait. You can even make your own romantic cards at our DIY Valentine station. The house will be open for self-guided tours, and festive attire is encouraged!
Ages 21+ only.
