May is Preservation Month!
We’re participating in the National Trust for Historic Preservation #This Place Matters campaign for Preservation Month, bringing awareness to significant places representing our diverse cultural experience. Preservation means protecting the places that tell the story of our historic, multilayered community.
During the month of May, we’re focusing on sharing details of two new restoration projects soon to be underway and providing opportunities to support and experience this special place together. We invite you to:
- Buy tickets for our Victorian Parlor Series: Picnic with The Prescott on May 19 for delicious food, fun lawn games, and plenty of photo ops with costumed partygoers!
- Make your own mark on Körner’s Folly by taking a tour during this month of celebration, using the hashtag #ThisPlaceMatters for your photographs of the house, plus a chance to have your shot featured as the Photo of the Week.
- Donate to the Körner’s Folly Foundation to support our preservation work, programming, and accessibility.
Currently, 8 out of the 22 spaces in Körner’s Folly have been restored. With your assistance, we can preserve the entirety of this valuable landmark for generations to come. Thank you for helping us observe Preservation Month! For more information about the National Trust for Historic Preservation, visit their website at www.savingplaces.org.
