Are you looking for a new, festive holiday tradition? Make the trip to South Main Street in Kernersville this December! On Saturday December 8, 2018 three Kernersville destinations are teaming up to create an enchanting holiday destination. As you stroll down South Main Street, stop at Körner’s Folly to explore the 1880’s house museum adorned in Victorian Christmas décor, and then continue to the Paul J. Ciener Botanical Gardens where you can find unique gifts and inspiration for holiday decorating. Then finish up at the Kernersville Museum where you can learn about local history before grabbing a pair of ice skates for a lap around their outdoor ice skating rink!
A Victorian Christmas at Körner’s Folly
Adorned with period decorations, tours transport you to Jule Körner’s world of Victorian extravagance. Körner’s Folly is transformed in the holidays with floor-to-ceiling garland, lights, and Christmas trees in nearly every room. Tours promise visitors of all ages holiday cheer and an unforgettable experience! Tours are self-guided; meander through all 22 whimsically decorated rooms at your own pace. A Garden of Inspiration
Come visit Paul J. Ciener Botanical Garden during the holidays and experience the Yuletide season with “The Natural Wonder of Christmas.” Visit the Carriage House Gift Shop and see decorations with items gathered and dried from within the Garden itself. Come visit and be inspired at how nature can provide all the things we need to create the ‘wonder of Christmas.’ The Garden has great winter interest, so stop by for a visit, do some holiday shopping, enjoy a cup of hot cider and get into the festive spirit of the season!

A Tour Through Local History
Explore the Kernersville Museum during the 2018 Holiday Season. In addition to our regular and special exhibits that focus on local history, you can also visit our newest outdoor exhibit, a fully restored Tobacco Barn that was originally located here in Kernersville. This year, the Kernersville Museum is also hosting a synthetic Ice Skating Rink here on our grounds! Enjoy Downtown Kernersville in all of its festive display while ice skating right in the heart of Downtown Kernersville.

Ice Skating: 12:00 pm – 6:00 pm
Ice Skating Admission: $7.00 for 30 minutes of skate time (skate rental included). Skate times begin every half hour.
